A GOOD SIZED OVAL MURANO GLASS BEAD & PAINTED CERAMIC ‘FLOWERING ANEMONE’ MIRROR, FRENCH

Description

A good sized oval Murano glass bead and painted ceramic framed ‘Flowering Anemone’ mirror, the frame dating to the late 19th Century/early 20th Century and now fitted with an antiqued glass mirror plate – exuberantly designed with an intricate design of scrolls and scallops formed of coloured beads, the frame further embellished with twine wrapped sprays of wired naturalistic ‘Anemones’ in full bloom, the upper blooms appearing to ‘grow’ out of the frame further adding to the three dimensional form. Now fitted with a slightly distressed mirror backed with a wooden panel, with a twisted wire hook for hanging. In very good vintage condition with some nibbles to the petal edges of the crowning flowers – nothing detracting in our opinion. A fabulous original piece full of personality. Very decorative on the wall – unique! Depth approx: 29cms
