A LARGE & DECORATIVE PAIR OF 1940s ITALIAN ‘GRAPPOLI D’UVA’ SCONCES

A large & decorative pair of antique hand painted 1940s Italian tole triple branch wall sconces designed as naturalistic woody stems of intertwined climbing vines interspersed with generous  bunches of black grapes and curling tendrils, the candle holders as flowers.  In good overall condition commensurate with age with minor paint losses in places – does not detract in our opinion.  Rare in this size, design and condition – stunning on the wall!  This style of sconce became very popular thanks to its extensive use by legendary American designer Dorothy Draper.  Can be wired, fitted with hand painted cream card bulb holders and PAT tested.  Please enquire.
