A PAIR OF 1940s ITALIAN PAINTED TOLE ‘AMALFI LEMON’ DOUBLE SCONCES

A scarce pair of good sized hand painted tole ‘Amalfi Lemon’ double sconces, 1940s,  Italian, naturalistically designed as leafy fruiting branches emanating from scalloped gadrooned vases, the candle holders of pretty scalloped form, the bright lemons with variegated yellow & lime paintwork –   overall condition is good & commensurate with age, showing some signs of wear with areas of paintwork chipped but in our opinion does not detract! – lovely original examples, hard to find in this design & colour, stunning on the wall!
