£525.00
A pair of Espalier Pear and Bee Eater painted tole sconces, Italian 1940s – naturalistically modelled as espalier trees with leafy fruiting branches and colourful birds perching amongst the branches, hand painted throughout, well modelled with lovely details the plumage and venation to the leaves, with integral hook for easy hanging, stamped mark verso. In overall in good condition commensurate with age with some signs of wear and paint losses but not detracting in our opinion. Lovely examples – so unusual in this design and charming on the wall.
