A PAIR OF HAND PAINTED AMALFI LEMON DOUBLE SCONCES, ITALIAN, 1940s

A pair of hand painted Amalfi lemon double sconces, 1940s, Italian, naturalistically designed as leafy fruiting branches, the candle holders as open flowers.  Paintwork of leaves and stems worn and flaking with losses throughout, less so the lemons – does not detract in our opinion – lovely, early decorative examples.
