Description

A pair of Italian painted tole ‘Tulip’ candleholders, 1940s – naturalistically designed as statuesque single blooms set amongst elegant slender foliage, the petals of elongated pointed flared form, hand painted throughout in variegated shades of green, orange, yellow and brown. Original foil label ‘made in Italy’ present. In good condition commensurate with age with signs of wear but nothing detracting in our opinion. Decorative examples of botanical candlesticks – scarce in this sought after design.
