A pair of statuesque painted tole and wood ‘Flowering Dahlia’ lamps, Italian, 1950s – naturalistically designed with a profusion of dahlia flowers and foliage ‘planted’ in elegant ebonised turned wood urns, skilfully hand painted throughout in variegated subtle shades of chocolate/russet/bronze, the leaves of dark green. In very good condition commensurate with age with nothing detracting in our opinion. Rewired and PAT tested with coordinating switched twisted silk flex – ready to install. Original linen shades present, the bases lined with velvet to protect surfaces. A striking pair of original botanical lamps. Scarce and sought after in this design. Height excludes shade.
