A PAIR OF TOLE ‘SICILIAN CHERRY’ DOUBLE SCONCES, 1940s, ITALIAN
A scarce pair of good sized hand painted tole ‘Sicilian Cherry’ double sconces, 1940s, Italian – naturalistically designed as leafy fruiting branches emanating from scalloped gadrooned vases, the candle holders of pretty scalloped form, with bright enamelled cherries, the leaves with variegated paintwork. Overall condition is good and commensurate with age, showing some signs of wear with areas of paint loss but in our opinion does not detract. Lovely original examples, hard to find in design, stunning on the wall! Can be wired – please enquire for lead-times and prices.
