A PAIR OF VINTAGE AMERICAN VERDIGRIS ‘NANTUCKET’ STYLE WALL LANTERNS, MID 20TH C, USA

A pair of vintage American verdigris brass ‘Nantucket’ style wall lanterns, mid 20th Century, Hinckley Lighting, USA – smart and well designed in traditional New England nautical style reflecting the ‘Hinckley’ brand heritage, unpolished and verdigris patinated throughout with front opening housing bulb, with bulb fitting also below for casting up and down light.  The lanterns are fitted with clear ‘seedy’ glass, brass disc reflectors present, rectangular back plate for wall fixing.  Original ‘Hinckley Lighting’ labels verso with stamped issue number – suitable for exterior or interior use as desired.  Good condition commensurate with age – one glass panel with nibbled corner – does not detract in our opinion but could easily be replaced if required.  Can be wired and PAT tested – please enquire.  Depth 13.5cm
