A PAIR OF VINTAGE BRASS ‘SCALLOP SHELL’ SCONCES, 1950s

Description

A pair of vintage French colonial style brass ‘Scallop Shell’sconces, 1950s – designed as large fluted scallop shells, each with twin serpentine form candle holders, integral hooks verso for ease of hanging, the unpolished backplates designed to reflect the candlelight. In good vintage condition commensurate with age with one or two dings in the brass and patination showing but nothing detracting in our opinion. Could be polished to increase light reflection if desired. Lovely examples and unusual in this larger style. For candles but can be wired and PAT tested. Please enquire.
