A VINTAGE PAINTED, SILVERED & GILT TOLE ‘POTTED OLIVE TREE’ FRENCH CHANDELIER

Description

A vintage French painted, silvered and gilt tole ‘potted olive tree’ chandelier, unmarked but probably by Pouenat Ferronier – naturalistically designed with a profusion of leafy fruiting branches, the whole ‘planted’ in a shaped urn, the serpentine branches with scallop shaped drip pans and leafy bulb holders. In very good overall condition with minor signs of wear and paint losses in places all commensurate with age and not detracting in our opinion. Original ceiling rose present. An elegant, decorative and stylish piece. Scarce and sought after in this design. Can be wired and PAT tested – please enquire. Height excluding rose.
