An 18th Century Dutch Polychrome Painted Bow Fronted Hanging Corner Cupboard – skilfully hand painted with a decorative faux marble style ground, the central shaped cartouche depicting an ornate blue and white porcelain two handled vase filled with a profusion of Chinoiserie style flowers, the corners similar decorated and the side panels with tall white tulips, the single door with the original pierced brass escutcheon and butterfly hinges, the interior with a pair of painted trefoil shaped shelves. Lockable – original key present. In overall good condition with minor paint losses to the original painted finish consistent with age and nothing detracting in our opinion. A very decorative, useful and charming example of its type. Provenance notes: originally purchased in the 1960s by the previous owner from prestigious Chelsea Antique Dealers OF Wilson (1935-1970). 30cms Deep
