A LARGE & DECORATIVE PAIR OF TOLE IVY SCONCES, ITALIAN, 1940s

A large and decorative pair of antique hand gilded Italian Tole three-arm wall sconces designed as naturalistic stems of intertwined climbing ivy, the bulb holders as flowers.  Lovely patina showing gilt and warm brick red tones beneath throughout – scarce in this design and size – in great condition and spectacular on the wall.  This design became very popular in the 1940s and was used extensively by legendary American decorator  Dorothy Draper.  Can be wired and PAT tested.  Please enquire.
