A PAIR OF ITALIAN 1940s PAINTED TOLE ‘FLOWERY’ SCONCES

Description

A pair of Italian 1940s painted tole flowery sconces – naturalistically designed as leafy flowering scroll tipped stems, the twin serpentine branches terminating with tulip form candle holders, hand painted throughout with bright enamels in shades of Spring green, russet, forget me not blue and buttercup yellow. In good overall condition commensurate with age showing minor paint losses in places but not detracting in our opinion! Very pretty original examples and charming on the wall! Can be wired and PAT tested – please enquire.
