A RARE 1950s ITALIAN PAINTED TOLE BAMBOO PALM TREE FLOOR LAMP

Description

A rare 1950s Italian painted tole bamboo palm tree floor lamp naturalistically designed with five leafy bamboo stems, the bulb holders formed from clusters of serrated palm leaves, the substantial base of turned, patinated wood. In very good condition commensurate with age and very minimal paint loss. Lacking two leaves – one where the bamboo stem meets the turned wood base and one from one of the five stems. A small split visible to the wooden base. None of these detracting in our opinion as camouflaged by the overall design. A fabulous, statuesque, sculptural form, botanical floor standing lamp. Very scarce in this design, size and condition. Can be rewired and PAT tested. Please enquire.
